How to Get Your GPAD File
GPAD (General Practice Appointment Data) is the NHS England dataset that records every appointment booked in your practice system. You can download your own practice's extract directly from the NHS Digital portal — no special permissions are required.
Go to the NHS Digital GPAD portal
Visit NHS GP Appointments Data Dashboard and sign in with your NHS login.
Select your practice and date range
Choose your ODS code and click Download raw data. Note: raw data is limited to the previous 4 weeks, so download regularly to build up history.
Download the CSV and upload it here
Save the .csv file to your computer, then drop it into the upload box below. The analysis runs instantly.
Not sure what format to export? Choose the standard single-practice CSV export. The tool recognises all standard GPAD column layouts including NHS England, TPP (SystmOne), and EMIS.
Upload Your GPAD File
The full GPAD dashboard adds rolling weekly analysis, saved reports you can share by link, multi-practice comparison, contract compliance checks, and automatic NHS benchmark overlays.
