Why I started Haresign Consulting

I spent 15 years in retail management before moving into NHS primary care — and that background in operational compliance, multi-site management, and driving performance under pressure shapes how I work to this day. When I made the transition into general practice, I brought a different set of instincts: one that looks for systems before blaming people, and builds for sustainability rather than quick fixes.

Haresign Consulting grew out of that. Practices kept asking for the same things — a straight answer on the funding, a way to see whether access was genuinely improving, a route through CQC that didn't mean a fortnight of panic. So I started doing it properly, alongside the day job, with people I'd trust inside my own practices.

Strategic Business Manager across five GP practices in South Warwickshire — around 34,000 patients — with overall accountability for operations, HR and financial management, and Digital Transformation Lead for a PCN. Fifteen years in retail operations and compliance came first, and it still shapes how he works.

The day job is contract and QOF performance, CQC readiness, enhanced services and clinical governance reporting, plus the internal systems that hold it together — trackers, risk and policy management built so a team can actually use them. He founded Haresign Consulting to bring the same practical, data-led approach to practices beyond his own patch, and builds the analysis behind it.

Eighteen years inside NHS primary care. She has been a general practice manager, a PCN manager, head of governance, and has held senior strategy and commissioning roles inside an Integrated Care Board.

She knows what good looks like in the consulting room, in the back office, and in the boardroom — because she has run the work in all three. She joins us on projects where that system-level perspective changes the answer.
