Over 25 years of management experience — starting with 15+ years in retail operations and compliance before moving into NHS primary care a decade ago. Today I work as a Strategic Business Manager across five GP practices and as Digital Transformation Lead for a PCN, while running Haresign Consulting alongside. IGPM Accredited.
Most of what I do is genuinely complex — not advising from the outside, but working directly inside practices and PCNs to take on the operational and strategic load that isn't getting done. I work without formal authority: no line management, no executive mandate. What gets things moving is knowing the subject deeply, earning trust quickly, and being willing to own the difficult, messy bits others don't have capacity for. Data analytics underpins everything — findings are evidenced, not assumed.
I take on the complex operational and strategic needs that practices and PCNs don't have the internal capacity to handle — working without formal authority, embedded alongside the team, and seeing things through to delivery rather than handing back a report. From access and QOF to compliance, CQC readiness, and long-term strategic direction: data analytics backs up every piece of the work.
Hands-on review and redesign of telephony, online requests, appointment books, and rota management — identifying what the data shows, agreeing the changes needed, and working with the team to deliver them.
Dashboards and recall workflows to lift achievement with less admin. Ownership, exception hygiene, and weekly huddles that work.
Internal audits, compliance gap analysis, and evidence frameworks that hold up under scrutiny — not just when an inspection is imminent, but as part of how the practice runs day to day.
Working with partners and managers on where the practice is heading — positioning within a PCN or ICS, forward planning, and the decisions that need to be made now. Backed by data and by direct knowledge of how primary care actually operates at ground level.
